Good Things in the First Two (Work) Days of Being Fired

Coffee House Posting #2

I feel constructive. I feel good.

I have started the last two days by walking to and from 8 a.m. Mass. It's a great way to get up and get started. I come back and have tea and decide what needs to be done and how and when I am going to do it. I read, check classifieds, journal, exercise and plan. Then I do it. Regardless, I'm lovin' the Mass thing. It's just 30 minutes or so. And so spiritually satisfying to know that I have a place to go in my time of need... and I am going to go there.

The second nice thing was grocery shopping. I know, weird. But I was out of food and went to explore Aldi and Trader Joe's. I got good food for good money. And I have time to cook now. Hopefully, I can eat healthier and work on my skills. It feels good.

There are a lot of self-improvement things I am trying to do. Or rather - small life-improvements. Like shopping even cheaper, cleaning out my apartment, planting, cooking, exercising and being ME - NOT STUCK BEHIND A COMPUTER for 8 miserable hours at work.

Anyhoo. Cheers to optimism.

I'm so proud of you! I know if it were me, I would probably still be wallowing in self-pity on the couch. Good things are coming your way. Actually, BETTER things are coming your way.

Did you pick up a few 3-buck-chucks there at Joe's? (heheh) Seriously, cheers to optimism...and to God providing what you need...when you need it :)
