I have a feeling today is going to produce several blog entries. I was reading someone else's blog this morning and he said that he REALLY didn't like it when people posted more than once a day. He felt that if you had to say something else, you should edit your existent entry.
I disagree completely and think it depends on your reasons for having a blog.
I have a lot of random thoughts and ideas and like to keep them under separate headings because they are separate entities in my head. Kommenting on the book I just finished reading versus something that happened in the news- to me those things shouldn't be in the same entry. Plus, I tend to be terribly wordy about my thoughts and no one would want to read one long entry by me. AND having these variety of topics in different entries allows a visitor to read only what really interests him or her, rather than having to wade through a bunch of uninteresting stuff.
Maybe the blogger I was reading looks at web logs more as diaries. Usually when a person sits down to journal, they write out one long entry. But part of the reason I LIKE blogging is the easy way I can put my thoughts out there on many different topics and hopefully get some feedback. Just my opinion.

She doesn't like to even READ blogs, as she said most of that you should tell the person you're talking to when you're talking to, and that to keep friends, you shouldn't have to have a blog, or something along those lines. It's not too terribly important. The important part of the conversation was this:
A blog a lot of times isn't just a diary - it's also your own personal news site. It's not always the case, and for many it is a diary, but a lot of the time for me I'm writing news articles. Well, not quite news, as it's nothing that other people couldn't figure out, and it's very much my own personal view on things. So, I guess it's like having your own personal column in a newspaper. *shrug* Something like that. As such, I believe in posting as often as you wish.
