Two Questions

Gas is $1.79. This is the same gouged price I paid on my way home from work on Sept. 11. Why is this o'kay?

I own 11 pant/skirt suits plus several jackets. What does this mean?

I was driving down Hampton on Sunday(starting off Hwy 40). The first gas station I saw was BP/AMoco - 1.69. Then a Shell at about the same price. Then a few blocks further down I saw a Shell at $1.79. And then when I neared Chippewa I passed the Sinclair station at $1.75.

I had filled my tank up on Saturday at 1.79 and was pissed I missed those good prices at the beginning of Hampton.

Don't know if they're still there.

oh...and i have no skirt suits either. I think it would be fun to wear one to work.

Somehow I am SURE that my suits wouldn't fit you guys. And regardless of my apparent myriad choices, I don't plan on giving any of them away. LOL.

Most of these aren't expensive nice suits, so it isn't like I am BAD to have so many. What scares me is whether or not this has any bearing on how "grown up" I am.

Grown up? I'm 27 years old now, don't tell me about grown up. And I have five skirt suits I think. Several of my suits are pant suits, which work well in the winter.

wah wah, gas is expensive. here's a plan: take the subway! ;)

Owning several suits means you have good taste. Wear them with pride.

And, paying so much for gas makes me miss living in a city with a subway...

$1.79 gas will be ok as long as people are willing to pay for it. If you adjust for inflation, the price of gas in 1980 was $2.80 a gallon. Boy I'm glad I didn't have my Hummer back THEN.

You've never had a Hummer Tommy and I might have to stop be friends with you if you ever DO! I am sure Mis wouldn't allow it! I didn't know about that $2.80 though. Is that for real?

Yup, it's true. Did you also know that the price of drywall has gone up over 70% over the price it was last year? AHHH! The gouging that the drywall bigwigs are inflicting upon us!
Oh, and the Hummer, I got that as a bonus for my work at Sara Lee. CEO Steve McMillen decided to throw me a bone from his $3.4 million bonus from last year. It's YELLOW (apparently the only color).

Oh, now that is really funny.
