Sprint made me a very happy person over lunch today. Last summer I bought a Sprint flip phone and extended warranty from Circuit City. A few months later, the LCD screen stopped working. In those months though, CC had stopped selling Sprint phones. So I had to talk to some call center who took two weeks to ship out a replacement. I had to re-enter all my phone numbers. Only a week later, the new phone started having the same problem but worse. Being the dufus ass that I am, I felt bad about calling up and having them send me another one so soon. Plus, the model itself obviously sucked.
Finally today I went to the Sprint store just to see what other phones they had. I was supposed to be able to change or upgrade phones whenever I wanted to, but I wasn't looking forward to doing this over the phone with a call center. Turns out that Sprint is really the one who guarantees the phone. I can get it upgraded to the 2-year-newer model, which will shipped in two days. Additionally, they will help me transfer over the phone numbers.
Wow. Note that Shawn from Sprint is now listed as my "favorite" in the Current heading on the right. I wonder if he remembers that he asked me out the last time I was in there? Eh. It was two years ago and I said no.
Posted by kristen at March 10, 2004 03:36 PM | TrackBackI've been with sprint for about three years now...maybe a little longer. There are times I think of changing, but frankly, why bother? My parents are on my plan--which I like, because they wouldn't have a cel otherwise--and then there's my phone and nick's. i love my free pcs-to-pcs calling, and i've got a plan that may be a bit pricey, but the gist of it is that I have PLENTY of minutes for three phones--and in the past six months, I've never had charges for overages! :) on top of that, nick's work reimburses him for part of the bill, since he has to use his phone for work purposes.
I just wish they'd recognize that I've been such a loyal customer and give me some great deal, like they did with my sister: when it came time for her to renew her package, they offered her evening hours starting earlier (and this was before they introduced the 7 o'clock night minutes start time).
Ah, cel phones: can't live without 'em! :)
Posted by: tanya at March 10, 2004 04:07 PMUm, Ms. Foht, I was wondering if (since I gave you a brand new cell phone even though I know the two you broke were your fault) you wanted to go out on a date with me? I think you are the cutest girl I have seen in such a long time. Your eyes, the gentle lilt in your voice, your nose, your nose-ring, your sweet caboose. Come to think of it, you don't have anything ELSE pierced do you? Hmmm, interesting.
Posted by: Shawn at March 10, 2004 05:02 PMWell Tom, I mean Shawn, that's for me to know you and you to find out.
Posted by: Kristen at March 11, 2004 11:11 AMI look forward to it.
