OH MY GOSH! I just found out that I'm funny!
I never really thought I was, but as recently as last night, I thought "well maybe..." I said as much to Julia who replied with this:
"You ARE funny. Actually it surprised me to read this, because I've always thought you were hilarious. I mean I never knew you questioned that. You're funny partly because you're brave enough to say stuff that other people wouldn't, and partly because you’ve got great physical comedic timing and are physically very expressive. And of course you’re quick-witted."
WOW- how exciting it that??!! I mean, I'm FUNNY! Of course, more than half the time it is crass, 8th-grade humor, but STILL!
WHOA- after writing that like 4 times, I've just realized what a bizarre looking and sounding word "funny" is. Ever have a moment like that?
Well anyway... yay for me! (I'm so glad I have Julia under contract to be my best friend.)

Posted by: Kristen at March 9, 2004 03:17 PMNo, you're not alone. I happen to find you v. witty and your physical comedic timing *is* on. The "physically very expressive" hits it on the nose, too - not only regarding your humor but also your personality in general (musicality/moods/etc).
And funny, funny, funny, funny, funny. Definitely looks funny when you look at it that way. Try saying any word 10 times in a row and by the 11th I bet you find yourself laughing.
So, yes, Funny Girl. You're a Funny Girl. Fear not! Joke on!
